Stuvik edges Alex Palou to take pole position


The Thai driver claims his 10th pole position this season ahead of Palou, Stern and Janosz. Race one is due to start at 14.15

Sandy Stuvik (RP Motorsport) has claimed a new pole position in the Euroformula Open this season, after today´s qualifying session held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Stuvik and Alex Palou (Campos Racing) fight a tough battle but finally the Asian managed to claim today´s pole time setting a lap of 1:41.036, beating the Spaniard by a very small margin (129 thousandths). Yarin Stern (Team Weast-Tec) and Arthur Janosz (RP Motorsport) will start on row two, with the Polish still second in the drivers´ championship.  Nelson Mason (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) y Alessio Rovera (Corbetta Competizioni) have finished 5th and 6th respectively. The top-ten was rounded off by Konstantin Tereschenko (Campos Racing), Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport), Michele Beretta (BVM Racing) y Damiano Fioravanti (BVM Racing).
