The Italian driver will join the field at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where the final round of the series is held
Leonardo Pulcini will make his Euroformula Open debut in the closing round of the 2014 series in Barcelona. The young Roman has been a bright feature for the team owned by Felice Davenia in the final stages of the Italian Formula 4 Championship powered by Abarth, and captured two podium finishes at Imola. At the Montmelò venue, he will be at his first F.3 race experience.
In the first weekend of November, he will line-up for the two qualifying sessions and for the two races after running only in practice at Spa-Francorchamps. At the Belgian venue, he surprised everybody by scoring the second fastest lap overall. Leonardo will line-up alongside Henrique Baptista and Spaniard Igor Urien.
"We invested a lot on Leonardo and we strongly believe in him for both the future of our team and Italian motor racing in general. We have been among the first to support and believe in Kevin Giovesi, who won the championship with us in 2012 and is now part of the Caterham Formula 1 program. Leonardo proved extremely competitive with us, cruising to a double podium at Imola, and we're now looking forward to see him make his official race debut at Barcelona. Our full support will also with provided to regular Henrique Baptista and newcomer Igor Urien", Felice Davenia said.
